Talk About Exit ReadinessWhat's Included
Exit readiness planning looks at how prepared your business is to be sold or handed off, and what would make it more attractive and easier to transfer. ElevationAds, a Dallas-Fort Worth firm since 2016, reviews areas like owner dependence, documentation, revenue predictability and marketing, then builds a prioritized plan. We work alongside your attorney, CPA and financial advisor.

Our approach

How we approach exit readiness

Start before you need to

Readiness takes time to build. Owners who start years ahead usually have more choices about when, how and to whom they transition.

Look at it like a buyer

Buyers and successors tend to look for predictable revenue, a capable team and a business that doesn't need the owner every day.

Coordinate with your advisors

Exit decisions involve legal, tax and financial questions. We bring growth and operations work and coordinate with your attorney, CPA and financial advisor.

We work alongside your advisors

We work alongside your attorney, CPA and financial advisor. We don't give legal, tax or investment advice, and nothing here replaces a formal valuation.

FAQ

Exit Readiness Planning: common questions

How far ahead should I start exit planning?

Earlier is usually better. Many improvements, like reducing owner dependence or building a management team, take years. Starting early gives you more control over timing and options.

Is this the same as selling my business?

No. We're not a business broker and don't sell companies. We help you prepare so that whatever path you choose, you go in with a stronger business.

Do you provide a valuation?

No. A formal valuation should come from a qualified appraiser or your CPA. We focus on the factors that influence value and readiness.

Who else should be involved?

Usually your attorney, CPA and financial advisor. We work alongside them and don't give legal, tax or investment advice.

What if I'm not sure I ever want to sell?

That's common. A more ready business is also easier to run, easier to step back from and more resilient, whether or not you sell.
